So Steve Jobs has launched this other new thing for Itunes users which allows you to follow your favourite artists and your friends and see what music they are listening to, see updates from the artist, check it on your phone etc …
But what makes it any different to all the other social networking sites out there I hear you cry? Well not too much really, just that it is all in one place!
Let’s break it down:
Ping gives you 30 second previews of songs before you pay to download them. Yes but Spotify lets you listen for free, and mFlow gives you 30 sec previews AND you can earn credit through recommending songs, which in turn you can use to buy tracks.
You can get Ping on your iphone via the Itunes app. Well you can get Spotify on your iphone and other phones (for a reasonable fee) and mflow is coming to phones soon, so I have heard.
Oooh but Milky Tea Kid you can follow your favourite artists and your friends! Is that right? So it’s like Twitter and mFlow and Spotify too (now that is links with Facebook)
Status updates too… so Facebook and Twitter!
So basically it is all in one place, this is true, but who is going to use Ping AND Twitter AND Spotify AND Facebook AND mFlow AND the next social networking site… emphasis on the ‘work’! Let’s try social networking in ‘real life’ more often! (…Says the blogger)
