Now… how do I introduce this?
… it’s a great cover of a classic song and the video is bizarre! (That should do it!)
So what did you think? haha

Find out what happened when we did our Jessie J interview and chatted about her debut album, songwriting, giving music away for free and of course her hidden talents! She is a very talented songwriter, writing the super successful Party In The USA, as well as writing for artists such as Alicia Keys, Chris Brown and Christina Aguilera. But now it is her time for the limelight and she is doing it in style with her debut album, Who You Are, which is released early next year and her first single, Do It Like A Dude, released in December.
There is a huge buzz about this talented singer and she is packing out each venue she plays with fans, industry and fellow artists. The Jessie J we met is a funny, down to earth, intelligent lady with impressive hidden talents!
Keep an eye out for her, she has arrived.
If you want to see some live videos YouTube is your place!

YouTube has proven to be the place for Cee Lo Green to get his music noticed it seems. Back when he released F*** You it was a YouTube hit before the official video had been released (fantastic marketing might I add). So it seems fitting that YouTube is the place where you can go to preview each of the 12 tracks from his new album The Lady Killer.
And here is a trailer for his video for the second single from the album – Bright Lights Bigger City:

Hi, my name’s Milky Tea Kid and I have a voice crush on Jessie J.
‘But Milky Tea Kid you have mentioned her loads on the blog already’… yes yes that’s true I have, but there is a reason for it. If you go to see Jessie live then you will have your answer right there on a platter. See some live videos here. She’s not the next big thing, she IS the big thing! Now that that is out of the way…
Jessie J absolutely killed it at Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen last night, the venue was packed full with people… I’m talking faces in armpits, hair in mouth and heels on toes but the crowd loved every minute of it. Managing to worm our way to our friends near the front was worth it, being short is incredibly frustrating at gigs, although the stage at the venue was high which is a bonus!
The new live band that has been debuting recently sound tight, solid and full of taste. I heard some tasty lines from the keys player at points – it was full of musical goodness! The band looks like they have been playing together for years and they have fun and that’s what it’s about!
Jessie’s stage presence is immense, she commands the crowd and has their attention from the start, even the inevitable ‘awkward silences’ were amusing due to her undiluted sense of humour. One of the things I notice is her control of her voice, which is impressive for the most part, then to raise the bar she will add in a crazy run and the crowd lap it up. You can tell that her talent is appreciated.
What more can I say?
Jessie J
Effort – A* Attainment – A*
(There is no pressure for her to keep those grades up, I’m pretty sure it’s innate.)
