This summer, Sony has created Xperia Access, an exclusive behind-the-scenes look into the inner workings of Sony Music. There are a number of intimate gigs with artists and also a chance to hang out in the studio with Newton Faulkner as he gets to creating his new album.
‘The winner and guest will be picked up from a central London location (which they’ll need to get to under their own steam), before being driven to Faulkner’s studio, where you’ll have the opportunity to grill him about his new album over a cup of tea, check out the studio, and get a first listen to his new tracks. Plus if you’re any good with a maraca or a tambourine, you might even have the chance to appear on the album itself.’
So you could be the person who plays the triangle, saucepan or stylophone and you will be telling your grandkids that you were on a top selling record. (They don’t need the details of what you actually did on the album..) If you are a talented musician who can play real instruments then who knows, it could be your chance for a collaboration. The experience will be filmed so best if you’re not camera shy!
You will want to go to the following link in order to find the question and fill out the form to enter the competition, as well as seeing the terms and conditions (i.e. the things we pretend to read.) Newton Faulkner Competition Link.
