This is a trio of British music makers that I’m currently stuck listening to and I’m very happy about it! I’m going to try and describe their music in the fashion that many journalists like to because I think it is the only way of getting across what their music is like. It’s pensive, it’s elegant and it’s brooding. Dare I say it… they might just be the UK’s answer to Lana Del Rey? London Grammar have only just released their debut album, If You Wait on 9th September and it has already gone straight in at number 2 in the UK charts. Not too shabby at all.
The song that I’ve been playing on repeat was a free download from the iTunes store the other week. It is called Shyer and is a sparse track that gives plenty of room for Hannah Reid’s vocals to resonate throughout. Check it out below – are you on the same wavelength as me with this one?
