One of the reasons that I make an effort to listen to as much new music as possible is because that is how I come across new artists and songs that I really like! More people should take a chance on new music, you might just find your next favourite band! I had a listen to a few of Richard Judge’s tracks online and found myself listening to one of them, Show Me Love more than once. By the second listen I was humming along and that is always a good sign! Press play below and listen to the track whilst you read on.
He has a smooth and melancholy voice that is easy to listen to and a talent for writing heartfelt lyrics. BBC Introducing obviously agreed when they asked him to play one of their live sessions only days after posting his track, Foundations online. Incidentally, Foundations is the track that Richard Judge is giving away as a FREE download, so take full advantage of that here. Love, loss and life are the general themes but his twist delivers a positive message. What I like about Judge’s music is that it could quite honestly lend itself to number of styles and could go in a number of different musical directions. He is a versatile musician and songwriter, which is something to make use of in the industry. Richard Judge is set to release an EP early next year and I am interested to hear what direction his sound goes in.
