Don’t you just really like it when someone who started off standing out from the crowd manages to keep their integrity, continue to be interesting and creative, and exude talent all over the place? Well I do and Fiona Bevan does all of the aforementioned. Her sultry vocals coat the pensive tales of her lyrics and immediately you are drawn into her world.
Her debut album has been a long time coming and will be released on April 28th 2014. ‘Talk To Strangers‘ will no doubt be a stunning breakthrough album that I really hope you get a chance to hear. If the debut single from Talk To Strangers is anything to go by then it’s worth the wait. ‘The Machine‘ will be available with an Ed Harcourt remix featuring rapper Fem Fel.
“The Machine came from being angry and frustrated about the state of the world and from my feelings of powerlessness to do anything about it,” she says. “Within the song, there’s a shift – that’s about breaking out and finding how you can have power in your own life, in everything you do.”

As a talented songwriter, Bevan has already had success by cowriting One Direction’s hit song ‘Little Things‘ with Ed Sheeran. That’s not a bad start is it? I can’t wait to see what else this talented musician comes out with. Definitely one to watch!
