Glad to see that Radio On agree with me when I say this new track is a goodun’! ‘You’re Always Right’ is released next month alongside a London launch show on 6th May at The Islington. Have you heard of them? Will you be going? I think you should… and I’m always right.
It’s the kind of track that would have fit in well on the soundtrack to Perks of Being A Wallflower or The Breakfast Club. A slightly outdated sound that seems to have come back around to be back in fashion. This new track is the latest to emerge from the London based 4 piece, following impressive early track ‘Don’t Wait’. Check out the new single below to see what I’m on about:
‘You’re Always Right’ feels indicative of a wanderlust that pulls at odds with the London day jobs in schools, warehouses (the kitchen of which covertly doubles as an out of hours band rehearsal space) and supermarkets that the band still clock on for. Punctuating Sam’s characteristically wry vocals with fizzy stabs of synths, the track finds Radio On alloying a poppy immediacy with this transient sense of contentment, to vivid effect.
