Foo Fighters new album Wasting Light certainly was eagerly awaited. With a mahousive fan base and sell out gigs that people are STILL talking about, I’m guessing there was a little pressure in camp Grohl. That included me. I was a little worried myself; my love of The Foo’s has waned.
It was a great evening at the Union Chapel, a venue which has hosted some fantastic artists over the years and Hugh Laurie can now be added to that list. I arrived at the venue 15 minutes before doors opened and the queue was already winding it's way along the street, excitement build
Their lead singer Megan Thomas really reminded me of the Mona Lisa. Really random comment I know, but let me tell you why. When you watched her sing and play guitar her eyes seemed to be constantly fixed on you, inviting you in to the live experience.
I for one, am quite glad that Bedouin Soundclash are back and have a great new album for us. A band that are often called reggae but actually mix reggae, rock, punk and soul to create their unique sound. Light The Horizon is the fourth album from the band and is out on 23rd May.
The Alexi Murdoch gig at The Borderline was by far the quietest show I have seen at the venue, which in some ways was great as the atmosphere was perfect for Alexi's style of music. Read more about the show here.
