Milky Tea Kid had the opportunity to visit the guys from Dry The River at their rehearsal space for an exclusive performance of their song Shaker Hymns and a quick chat.
Making a name for themselves on the gigging circuit for electrifying live shows, this is a folk tinged band that should definitely not be underestimated!
As mentioned earlier we had the chance to meet up with two American sisters who have caused quite a stir with their blend of 40s/50s country folk since their performance on Jools Holland’s Hootenanny at New Year. The Secret Sisters were kind enough to talk about touring, recording, bonfires, hog roasts and sing alongs!
We also went along to their performance at Hoxton Square in the evening and they were very impressive despite a number of technical difficulties! They are completely at ease and were more than able to entertain the crowd in between songs. Lovely ladies, amazing voices and fab accents!

Two exclusive performances will also be posted in the next few days so be sure to check back!
Find out what happened when we did our Jessie J interview and chatted about her debut album, songwriting, giving music away for free and of course her hidden talents! She is a very talented songwriter, writing the super successful Party In The USA, as well as writing for artists such as Alicia Keys, Chris Brown and Christina Aguilera. But now it is her time for the limelight and she is doing it in style with her debut album, Who You Are, which is released early next year and her first single, Do It Like A Dude, released in December.
There is a huge buzz about this talented singer and she is packing out each venue she plays with fans, industry and fellow artists. The Jessie J we met is a funny, down to earth, intelligent lady with impressive hidden talents!
Keep an eye out for her, she has arrived.
