I have to admit, when you are introduced to talented young artists like 15 year old Lily Juniper, part of me thinks wow they are young and the rest of me thinks great now I feel old and unaccomplished! But enough about me… Lily attends the BRIT school, which is where a number of talented British artists have come from including Jessie J and Adele. Her song Plan B was written by the lady herself and recorded in one take (I’m already quite impressed). I initially thought she had a little bit of a Birdy vibe about her and not just in terms of age. Check out the video below, I think you’ll like it.

Jessie J did what she does best on Radio One’s Live Lounge earlier today. One of the most talked about pop stars at the moment showed off her vocal skills on acoustic version of Domino and a cover of Rihanna’s hit, We Found Love. You probably guessed we are fans of Jessie J here on Milky Tea Kid, but it’s because she was amazing live when we first saw her and she is even more impressive now. I think it is unsurprising that Jessie J is number 1 again in the UK charts with her latest single Domino. Firstly it is a catchy pop song, secondly it was written by a multitude of top songwriting talent; Jessie J, Dr. Luke, Claude Kelly, Max Martin and Cirkut, and thirdly her fan base has grown exponentially since her debut single release just over a year ago.

When the song was released in August 2011 I made some comparisons to Katy Perry immediately (which has been the case for a lot of people) and I also saw a similarity to Whitney Houston’s I Wanna Dance With Somebody. It was released in America first and seems to have been written more with the American audience in mind. It hasn’t hindered her in the UK though evidently. Check out the music video below:

James Morrison is back with a new single featuring Jessie J. Up is true to the classic James Morrison soulful style and although at first I thought Jessie J might overpower the song with her own unique style, that wasn’t the case in the end!

This is the new single from Morrison’s newest album called The Awakening.

A new track from Jessie J has been leaked online (who knows who by) but it is an OK pop song, a little generic though.

OK someone help me out here… is it Jessie J or Katy Perry? It sounds like a classic Katy Perry track to my ears, how about you? Who knows, maybe she wrote it for Katy Perry originally. Have a listen below:
