This week we are shining the spotlight on Flight Brigade. Their folky pop blend makes their songs hard to forget and there is one song in particular that comes to mind. A Girl Who Loves Her Smoke And Wine has a revitalised video as well!
Most people will have heard of Mikky Ekko due to his collaboration with Rihanna on her single Stay. The song was co-written by Mikky Ekko and Justin Parker and did quite well in the charts. I've been playing one of his own tracks on repeat. Have a listen.
We had a chat with blues/ hip hop artist, ZZ Ward whilst she was on a quick stopover in London before playing a one off gig at The Water Rats before heading off to Paris. I'm glad I got to see her live, I've been listening to her music for a while now.
This singer from New Zealand is on my list of ones to watch and apparently on others as well. I have heard that Grimes has mentioned her appreciation for Lorde's music. This teenage songwriter is worth listening to.
